Good Bye Titan

Titan Petchem is the company where I did my internship. It is also where I got my first job.

In Titan, I met a group of interesting friends here.

Energetic, funny, sacarstic sometime, easy going, open minded, fun are the words that perfectly describe this group of people. With them, you will never feel bored! One person I must really thank to is my supervisor during my internship, Won. He was my hang out buddy during my internship. He always likes to gather his friends in his house and organizes some small event, such as photo sharing session, drinking session and so on. He is the one that introduce this group of friends to me.

In Titan, I met someone who tought me and guided me patiently - My Boss, Tee Soon Tak (though he never want to admit that he is our boss)

(short hair guy that stood beside me)

We called him monk because he got a very short hair and he's a vegetarian. hahaha... jahat!

And also someone that feed me with knowledge, AND FOOD! - Ho Sze Sing

I knew him during my internship. And we got closer when I was in same team with him when I work on shift. He is the superintendent of the team. He's one my Operation Si Fu. He tought me a lot of things about process operation. He also helped me a lot with my work. Besides, he is also my snack provider, espeacially during night shift. hihi.. We had became good friend. We can share our thoughts and even crap nonsense for whole day long!

Housemates!! Never forget you all la!

Vivien! The Bao Zou Po! She's my hang out buddy and drinking buddy. She is also my chef! (Looks like there are a lot of people feed me here) She is a good friend of mine. People always thought we are sisters leh. Funny, easy going, pretty and smart! Still single and available o!

Dennis! Another drinking kaki and talk crap kaki. He can cook very well too! His asam laksa and prawns! Thumbs up! Both Vivien and Dennis really take care of me a lot when I was in Johor.

Eventually, Titan and Johor has become my another home. I grew up a lot here, knowledge and exprience wise, not to mention physical wise too. haha! This is the second time I leave Titan, for money! hahah.. money minded. I thought since this is the second time I leave Titan, I'll will not be so sad. Cause when the first time I left Titan, even though I know I will miss everyone there, I never cry at all, not even feel like crying. However, this time, I cried! In front of my friend somemore. Damn embarrassing! Unbelievable! Thanks to Won's email I supposed. (Luckily I managed to hold my tears when I say goodbye to Tee and Ho.) Haih! So sad! I really really miss you all!!!!

Good luck and all the best to all of you. Thanks for everything! Keep in touch ya!

Oh ya before I forgot.

This is my work desk in office

On the right, is my lovely little plant.

On the left, is my Lee Hom calender! One of the thing the can cheer me up when I was tired.

Wait! There is something else behind Lee Hom calender!

I left it on my desk for the new comer. Gee, I wonder he will thank me or not.....

Lee Hom Music Man Concert 2009!

Bahamut)

Hello!

How Wil It Like...........?

How will it like working offshore on the wavy platform?

(This is not the platform I'm going to work on)

Will I be able to adapt to the boring offshore life? Well, I think the activities I have in the middle of the see are only limited to checking on the dolphins hoping out from the sea surface and staring at the stary stary sky at night. hhhmm......at least I will not feel bored looking at them.

How will it like staying in Miri, a small queit town? The last time I went there, the street was deserted even only at 8pm!

How will it be working with this Shell?

(I love this picture. I got it from one of the SRD document Shell sent to me)

Will I be able to cope with the training and 3 monthly evaluation? Will I be able to adapt to their working environment and cultural? Will my collegues be friendly to me and guide me patiently just like my current company?

Most importantly, is this what I want???

Letter from my sponsor kid Thailand

I received a letter from my sponsor kid yesterday. Her name is Rodphon from Thailand. She 10 years old. The letter was written in Thai language and is translated into English by Volunteer from World Vision.

The letter was about her hobby and what she normally do at home. Even though it's just a simple letter, it put a smile on my face. I feel very happy and sweet. She even drew flower underneath the letter. But I guess because she got limited colour pencil, she only used green, red colour pencil and normal pencil to colour the flower. See! How lucky we are? Remember when we were young we used to colour pencils that have complete set of 36 colours. The minimum types of colour we had was like... 12 colours?

I really hope to become her close friend one day. Beside giving her financial support, also guide her and give her advise on her problems. Will work hard to build up our relationship.

Johor - KL - Miri - KL - Johor

I went to Miri for Shell Recruitment Day. So, during the past few days I spent most of my time on public transport. Took bus, then flight, then taxi, then flight and flight again, then taxi. Fuh! Tiring!! Well, at least I get to experience how is it like travelling alone to an unfamiliar place. Before this, I always hope for a chance to travel by flight. But now, too much of flying man... 3 rounds in 3 days? That's damn a lot. I'm sick of flying!..........for now. hihi.....

At first I planned to walk around in Miri if there is time after interview. So the first thing I did when I touched the ground of Miri was grab the local map from the Miri airport and check out for interesting places. However, due to the long hour activities of the interview, in the end of the day my energy was all drained. So no mood to go already. And it's already very late, most of the shop or places in Miri closed by 5pm! Can you believe that?! Oh well, at least I get to go to the beach behind the house where the interview is held.

Yesterday, I was in LCCT. It was around 12.00am and I wanted to find a place to sit down and surf net while waiting for my flight back to Johor early in the morning. The first choice is of course McDonald's. Everyone knows that Mc Donald's operate 24 hours.

(Closing down??? not 24 hours meh?)

But as I was sitting down, setting up my laptop, few of the workers started to arrange the chairs and pull down the rolling steel door. "Closing???" I asked one of the workers. "Yes, for today." "Not 24 hours meh?" I asked again, but I didn't get any reply. Fine. I grabbed all my stuff and shifted to a restaurant opposite Mc Donald's, which also has a 24 hours sign in front of their shop. Before my seat got heated up by my butt, the worker started to close their shop, AGAIN! I was like what the hell? My memory of nearly being chase out from Vietnam International Airport because they didn't allow people to spend overnight there flashed through my mind. Don't tell me LCCT is doing the same thing to me! I quickly went to the information booth and asked the person incharge there what's going on. Only then I know that they are actually closing down for 3 hours to do the fogging. Phew! I'm not the unlucky after all. So in the end I settle down outside Mc Donald's.

What a great experience.......

Please, Help Them!

Hey people out there!

How do you feel when you look at this picture?

How about this? Does it ring a bell? If not, let me put it in a simpler way. While you're clicking the mouse, 1 children die of starvation; when you take 5 in the toilet, 63 children die of starvation. Can you imagine how terrible it is?

While we are complaining about the food are eating, while we are enjoying the convenience and comfortably we had, they are millions of people out there suffering and struggling to survive. Famine is not the only problem they are facing. They also have to fight with disease, nature disaster, etc. Lack of basic needs supply such as clean water, food, medicine, facilities has made their living condition even worst.

You might thought that you need a huge amount of money to help these people but you 're not Bill Gates and you can't afford. But NO. With World Vision "Support a Child" program, you only need to contribute RM50 per month to sponsor a child. This contribution will help to improve their living environment such as clean water supply, food and agriculture training, health care and education. (click here for their flash demo). In a nut shell, you just need reduce the amount of clothes you buy, or the frequency you go for a holiday or party per month to save a life!

To become a sponsor, you only need to follow the below steps:
  1. Fill up the Sign Up form *

  2. They will send you an email confirmation and payment instructions.

  3. Upon receiving your first contribution, they will send you the child’s picture and details.

  4. Within three months, your sponsored child will write to you to introduce him/herself. If your sponsored child is too young, a family member or World Vision staff will write on his/her behalf.

It's very easy, right? I've already signed up as a sponsor

So what are you waiting for?
