Hello!

"I think I should start writing blog in English, to improve my English. But I scared they laugh at my English leh.."

"No worries, so obvious d, u gt nothing to hide"

@#&$*%(!)$(%*#*

My name is Ying Ying. This is the conversation that I had with my ex bf in MSN when I was considering to start blogging in English. Before this, I'm blogging in mandarin at friendster's blog. It is also to catch up my mandarin. I've stop writing, and rarely spoke in mandarin ever since I entered university because most of my friends in university are English educated (so called 'banana') and I've to communicate with them using English. As a result, my English level upgraded from "Broken English" to... erm "OK English" (not really proper yet). I guess this is support by the fact that I managed to "tipu" my bf, who is also a 'banana'. :p However, my mandarin is degraded from "Mandarin" to "Banana's Mandarin" -- mixing mandarin and English in a sentence (no offense)

"wo yao chi rice" ------ I wanna eat rice.

"ta bu hui appreciate wo de help." ------ He'll not appreciate my help.

"ni good ma?" as in " ni hao ma" ------ How r u? ß this 1 exaggerated 1 la

One thing that hurt me the most is I can't even produce a good quality and powerful script for my Chinese debate competition last year even though my essay writing in mandarin had always been categorized in "not bad" category by my teacher during secondary school. This has triggered my decision to catch up my mandarin, especially in writing. So I started to blog in mandarin.

Now, I think is time for me to improve my English as well. So please bear with my English ok? :p

Okay! I'll tell more about myself in the next entry and will explain about the picture I posted in the last entry. It's getting late, if I don't sleep now I will properly doze off while working tomorrow. Till then, see u!
